Which is kind of odd for a company like Onyx Path. OPP art direction has sucked for ages now, check out Exalted 3rd for examples of computer generated crap, sup par traditional art and poor composition.
They even had an artist submit a piece that he'd stolen, altered and claimed was his own. It got through to the backers copy. OPP have gone properly down hill recently. What should annoy backers more is that projects don't get off the ground without kickstarter and when they do they're full of terrible art. Look at the mutants in the core Trinity book, climbing the mountain. I would never do that. Well for the most part. I do have a tendency when I see over the top amazing art, to be suspicious that the content of the book is not that great.
But bad art is never an indication of a bad book, its just bad art. I think some is better than others. But Scion seems roughly the same to me as the previous editions. I have to admit bias as the Stellar Frontier and Alien Encounter books were some of my favorite from the first edition of Aeon Trinity.
